Alexander Müller

Alexander Müller, a graduate sociologist, is the head of a global study of the UN Environment Program on "The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity for Agriculture and Food" and CEO of "TMG - Töpfer, Müller, Gaßner GmbH, ThinkTankforSustainabilty". From 2006 to 2013, he was Deputy Director-General of the Natural Resources and Environment Management Unit of the United Nations World Food Organization (FAO). Previously, he was Secretary of State at the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection. From 2013 to January 2016 he worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) in Potsdam. Alexander Müller has been a member of the Rat für Nachhaltige Entwicklung since 2013.
