Ally-Raza Qureshi

Ally-Raza Qureshi is the Representative and Country Director WFP Iraq Country Office. He is a national of Pakistan and has a background in accounting. He has worked with WFP for over 20 years, starting with the Oversight Department as an internal auditor, subsequently Head of Area Office in El-Fasher, Darfur, Sudan; WFP Bangladesh Deputy Representative; and at HQ the Deputy Director for Resource Management and Programming, acting Deputy Director for WFP’s corporate transformative project- the Integrated Road Map, and acting Director of Corporate Planning and Performance Management. Prior to Iraq, he was WFP Deputy Representative in Yemen, where he successfully led the expansion of the programme to support over 13 million Yemenis. He is passionate about social protection and an advocate for combating climate change.
